FILTHY RIVER, FUNKY FISH, FAMINE

But it doesn’t need to be this way.

·
We CAN turn the river back the way it was

·
We CAN clean her waters

·
We CAN save our precious fish stocks

·
We CAN avoid a
devastating food shortage

·
We CAN do it now AT LITTLE OR NO COST

The EcoReef Project

Together we can.

 The EcoReef Project focuses on

• using heated plastics from waste plastic bags
• to bind timber and rubble
• to create land and water reefs
• to assist with controlling erosion and
• to improve fish habitat
We are introducing EcoReefs for anyone to use at no cost to them including ways for people to make a modest income from using EcoReefs in their own backyards

Can we retrofit FISH BREEDING into sterile irrigation systems?

The answer is a resounding – YES!

Will it cost heaps? NO!

Will it cost anything? NO!

Do we want to?

Fucked if I know.

The EcoReef Project

I appreciated this comment from a friend from our school days as it gave me the opportunity to explain the EcoReef Project a little further and to try and get the message across that the system is FREE for anyone to use ANYWHERE.

 Here it is –

Very impressive! Is this what you do Mike? Wonder if it’s workable in Pune,
India

·
Yes! The system is workable anywhere in the
world. In fact, there is nothing holding anyone back from using them as we
speak at no cost. I started working on the project basically because our river
systems are being decimated by misdirected water management and as such fish
breeding grounds are being constantly eroded. We will be updating information
constantly and any input from anyone who tests the system will be sincerely
appreciated.

If we TURN BACK THE RIVER the way it was, then frogs will come
back, fish will come back, shrimp will come back, crabs will come back,
crayfish will come back . . .

So you can sit at your favorite table in your special
restaurant on the water’s edge and wait for your seafood meal to be served.

Service may be a little late, however, while we catch up on
repairing our ‘F*#*#d ‘ food supply chain – But what the heck! Better late than
never!

Meanwhile, take your beady little eyes off our little frog’s
funky legs!!

The EcoReef Project uses the Beaver Dam Method

·        All of us are well aware of the dexterity of the beaver as it goes about its business of creating virtually indestructible habitats using twigs and branches

·        Humans are perhaps not capable of matching this expertise using twigs alone

·        EcoReefs offers a humble yet cheeky way to match our beaver buddies by binding twigs to rocks with heated plastic to build effective “Beaver Reefs”

·        EcoReefs will run along the edge of the waterways rather than damming the natural flow of water

Let’s TURN BACK THE RIVER the way the beavers knew it.

Rough Sandstorms

Ever tried making babies in a sandstorm?

Now that’s a bit rough!

That’s what fish are trying to do 24/7 just so’s you get
your next big fish ’n’ chips.

But we’ve straightened our rivers into water freeways so
there’s nowhere for fish to shelter from our grimy sandstorm racing to the
sea.

They get grit in their eyes and grit in their gills and even
grit in their ‘oopsies’!

So the next time you go to your ‘fav’ restaurant and all
that’s on the menu is grits? – Get used to it!

Meanwhile, come with us while we TURN BACK THE RIVER the way
it was

LET’S TURN BACK THE RIVER to the way it was.

Here’s the Status Quo –

So far we’ve cleared our slopes, straightened our rivers into super waterways, and created a very efficient drainage system to take our waste products directly down to our oceans.

Our straight river highways leave nowhere for fish to shelter from our waste, nowhere to breed, and little chance of feeding us now or into the future.

So what do we do?

We take back some free space from our water freeways, by building a simple breakwater to bump the flowing water from one bank of the straight river to the other till the straight flow changes to zig-zag starting a domino effect. This in turn will erode the edges where necessary and alter the course of the waterway sooner than we could imagine, allowing us to plant our EcoReefs in safe spaces behind natural break-waters.

EcoReefs will immediately provide shelter for our fish, our fish will start doing what they do best and our river can get back to the way it was.

It’s easy, it’s free and it’s important.

Jump in! The water’s fine – AND SAFE!

Waste plastics are the next “Gold Rush” – Will you stake your
claim?

So let’s turn this thing around by asking ourselves “What do
I want for the future for myself?” What do I want for the future for my
family?” and “What do I want for the future – period!?”

If you can answer all this by saying – “All’s good! Someone
out there will fix everything!” – You’re deluding yourself.

You have to take control but you can have a bit of fun while
you’re doing so.

Here’s where The EcoReef Project comes in.

The EcoReef Project operates on three major fronts at this
stage –

1.
Keeping our waterways clean

2.
Protecting fish habitats

3.
Reducing plastic waste

To reduce plastics in our waterways, we’re going to develop
ways for anyone to earn a modest or second income.

We will share every detail with everyone at no cost so
people who need a small income can start up and get going.

Even kids can earn a few bucks and enjoy doing so.

We’ll start small and scale up as we go.

All you have to do is stay tuned and we’ll show you how to
get started.

The world will be a better place if we do it together!

 About The EcoReef Project

Our aim is to convince the public to find ways to use waste
plastics by proving that they have value.

We are doing our experiments in miniature, testing, and then
upscaling.

Just to introduce The EcoReef Project, to follow is a post
based on a pic of waste plastics in our waterways –

“What if I told you that inside this pile of rubbish is
a binding agent that is more effective than most adhesives, has no pollution,
uses minimal energy, and can be a great ally in our fight against pollution –
Would you stay tuned?

The EcoReef Project focuses on

•             using
heated plastics from waste plastic bags

•             to bind
timber and rubble

•             to create
land and water reefs

•             to assist
with controlling erosion  and

•             to
improve fish habitat

We will be introducing EcoReefs soon for anyone to use at no
cost to them including ways for people to make a modest income from using
EcoReefs in their own backyards

EcoReefs are seriously ugly. Everything we can do in our
backyard testing grounds can’t change that fact and we make no apology!”
